This morning we had 5 eggs from our 4 brown layers. They're relatively new layers (just got them at 19 weeks in April), one takes a day off now and then. Yesterday she did take a day off. But never has she laid 2 eggs in one day. Is this normal??

Yeah, sometimes when they skip a day they carryover to the next day.

I'm brand new at raising chickens and just joined this forum, but I have had five eggs from four chickens twice since I adopted my Isa Browns. I thought I might have overlooked an egg from a day before, but I keep track of how many eggs are laid each day and the five eggs came after days and days of four-eggs-a-day. I think it really did happen.
