5 'hens'

    I was given these 5 'hens'. As they have aged, I think the only hens are the solid brown ones on either side. Opinions? Thoughts on breed? (I hope the pic is clear enough, they run a lot and are only still when they snuggle for an afternoon rest!)

    How old are they? Do you happen to know the parentage?

    They are 5 months and unfortunately know nothing about them. The owner shrugged and said mixed breed (I am in France!)

    They look like Silkie mixes. They are very cute!

    The two barred birds do look like cockerels. I'm not as positive about the white bird. could we get a profile shot of it?

    Thank you for the photo compliments! I think that was shot #250 or something! Thank goodness for digital cameras! I will definitely enter it next year :)

    He / She is not playing ball for me today to take a decent photo, I found this one but it is a month old. The comb and wattle and much more pronounced now. He / She has tried mating with the hens, and one of the roosters :-/
