On November 1 last year I hatched 10 chicks, orpingtons and sussex.
I thought they were lavender orpingtons, but now I'm sure they are splash and blue / black.
Here is the rooster, the kids call "10 speed" because he is too fast to catch.
And here is one of his "sisters"
and another one like her is darker in the head and neck.
They are lovely birds, and everyone comments on the orpingtons puffed up size, and 10 speeds splash colours.
