I have a 5 month old sultan roo named Bubbles, and he isn't crowing yet!! he has saddle feathers, large and red comb, and will stand tall and flap his wings, but no crowing.
he still peeps most of the time, and the pullets that are younger than him are now clucking and will lay soon.
There was another roo I gave away as someone really needed a banty roo and loved barred rocks, (he's a banty barred rock) and the guy who bought him told me he has been crowing for a long time and the other hen the roo lives with just hatched out 2 of the roo's babies! that roo is the same age as bubbles!
I do have two other roos, but they (the current roos) ignore him (bubbles) when he flaps, and are the most docile and least crowing roos I have ever seen.
so, what is the latest you have had a roo crow? thanks!

These pics are a little old, he's a little bigger and his comb is way larger, (he is more like 4 1\2 months in the pics) but in the first two you can see his comb and in the last one a hint of saddle feathers.

    Africa - near the equator
Mine crow (well, according to them it is i guess) every morning when i let the flock out of the coop. They are 11 weeks old, so you can imagine how pathetic the crowing actually is. They only manage one crow per day it seems, but in your case, the presence of other crowing roos will inhibit his crowing (unless he likes getting a good pecking and chasing around) so maybe he prefers not to wind up getting a good beating by your others.
