I am just beside myself. I have 5 chickens out of 11 with sour crop. They have all been wormed, no lice or mites, only 2 have had antibiotics for respiratory disease, changed foods 2x and they are in a 1000 square foot run with 2 coops and 12x 12 dog pen. I clean run every night, (dirt floor) turn over their flooring (deep liter method) nightly. I give them grass clipping 3x a week cut very finely. They also get scratch in the afternoon and occasion cup of oats scattered to keep their boredom down. They are all just a bit over a year. 2 Bannies, one barred rock and the rest orpingtons. I get vitamins in their water one a month.
I am heartbroken and about to give up on chickens. I feel so incompetent! Can you overfeed chickens? How much crumble do I feed each chicken. Any ideas?

Yes it is possible to over feed chickens. About 1/2 a cup per 1 chicken.

Did you mean you switched brand of food 2x or do they have a tower feeder?
