Hi all, first time poster here I am new to BYC and a first time chicken owner. My 3 year old daughter has always loved chickens , so after a year of asking and me doing a lot of research I decided to go all in and start a backyard family flock!

We have 6 chicks , 3 pullets (sapphire gems) and 2 silkies , and 1 Easter egger. The silkies and Easter egger chicks were “unsexed”.

I hope to find some answers here from the BYC extended family! Thank you 🙏

Silkies are still way too young. EE looks like a probably male.

As long as the Gems didn't have headspots as babies, they're females

Thank you , I was thinking the EE was male also especially because his legs are so thick!

This is the best photo I could pull of the sapphires when I first got them. I don’t think they had headspots back then , but today one of them has a few white spots on top.

Thank you

They look good to go for girls then.

Thank you , any idea about what age you can tell on the silkies?
About 4 months is the general consensus
