    At what age is better to tell gender?

    And I'm glad you noticed that lol. I wanted to make sure I could really tell them apart!

    They're too young to sex, though I'm thinking the fourth one looks a little cockerelish right now with its wider comb. We should have a better idea of gender when they're about 8 weeks old.

    No one's screaming cockerel at this point, but it may just be too early.

    Am I the only one who's thinking they're not blue laced Wyandottes? If anything, I'm thinking gold laced. But, the pattern doesn't look like lacing to me. It's been a long time since I had glw chicks, so I may be mis-remembering, but that looks more like a partridge-ish or mixed pattern to me. Juvenile plumage can be a pain, but I'm looking forward to other's feelings.
