My Female Anocona from MPC started making weird noises in the morning yesterday and again today. I grabbed a video of it, the link is below.
Is she crowing because she is a he??? It is possible to tell this at 4.5 weeks (5 weeks old on Monday)?
I had read online that hens will take on crowing without a rooster present and to wait until they are a few months old to know for sure when their tell tale feathers develop.
A photo below of her face. Her comb is still pink and her wattle does seem a little red.
One last thing to note is that she is a real jerk. The first one to really pick on others and tried jumping on a few other chicks. Although she was also getting picked on by the BCM for a few days after that.
