I am having a problem with one chicken sitting on the top of the water I have put blocks under but it keeps knocking it over any suggestions?

What type of waterer do you have?

Baby chicks will do that for something to perch on top of. Mine do it all the time it's a pain. Try putting some other type of practice perch in their brooder and hanging their waterer up on a string so that they can still drink from it, but not perch on it. Hope this helps. :)

They have a perch idk if you can see it in the right corner of the pic it's just this one chick the Easter egger next to the water is always trying to get on top

Ok, well that's good, then try hanging the waterer up so when they jump on it it swings and there to keep their balance and stay on. Maybe then they will realize that they have the perch. :)

I went with heavy ceramic water dishes until they were big enough not be dummies about it. They need to be checked often though.

That's a great idea! I never thought of that. Good luck. :)

You can also upend a funnel over the top of the waterer so they can't perch on it.
