5 week old pullet

Hi,

I'm not even sure this is the right spot to post this, I apologize if it's not.

New to chickens so this may be obvious to most but for me I'm wondering:

Today we noticed a bump on each leg of our (please be!) pullet...are these normal for a girl or do I have a boy? Here's Puff...

I guess this is a two part question!

(and if anyone has any thoughts on breed i'd love to hear them!!)

On the back of the leg? I can't tell you the sex of yours. (it's still young and I'm new at the guess the sex game) But I can tell you my female Sicilian Buttercup has rounded off spurs that stick out about 1/4 inch.

Yes on the back of the legs. It's not even measurable just a bump. Thank you for the reply!

Yes, they started out that way then grew. My Barred Rock just has a teeny weeny bump on hers and they never grew.

Female chicks will have a spur bump too. It just never develops into a spur.

Yes, they all have those bumps til they mature out more.
