My group of 'girls' (for the exception of a definite BA boy) are now 5 weeks old and are looking & acting like little chickens...which is a good thing! I have been putting them out in the fenced garden area for the afternoon when it is warm enough; they have been fine down to 45 with sun and some shelter. At night they come back into the brooder until we get the coop finished. When that happens they will be good to go with a temp run until they are old enough to safely free range!
Here they are...the chickens

Except they still have little fuzzy butts!

They're the size of pigeons. The fencing around the garden (and yard) is 2x4 horse fencing. I saw one yesterday try to walk through it to get to a plant, but their breasts are too big

so I know they are safe in there.
