This is our first attempt at raising meat birds. This morning when I went to the coop, one of the birds was laying off to one side (a little) with one leg stretched out behind it and it wouldn't get up or eat with the others and had no interest in moving. I picked it up and it doesn't seem to have any pain anywhere. When I set it back down, it wouldn't stand on it's own and layed off to the other side (just a little) with the other leg stretched out behind it. I tried to put food in front of it...no interest. It just looks around, seem alert.

I don't know what could be wrong. Is it being lazy? Is it sick? Should we butcher it or kill it? Should we eat it IF we butcher it...

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a fried chicken dinner to me.
