Seriously....what constitutes 'livestock' vs 'pets'?? It's just a categorization. People dont' think twice about keeping a parrot in their houses, but 'gross out' if you mention you had a hen that needed extra care in the house for a while.
Silkies lay eggs sort of more or less on a reliable schedule, and don't look anything like chickens. If people ask you can call them rare asian ground parrots.
I think a silkie would possibly qualify.
asian ground parrot
oh good grief, how bout I actually read the posts. sheesh.
Yes! You totally need an Asian Ground Parrot (which kinda sounds like something you would serve on a lettuce leaf).
I want an Asian ground parrot....hubby loves birds, maybe I can get one that way..he thinks silkies are ugly....but I bet hes never seen an Asian ground parrot!
Quote:LOL. About an egg a day depending on what breed of Asian Ground Parrot you get...
I have a trio of black silk.. I mean Asian ground parrots. I get about 5 eggs a week out of each of the girls... IF they are not trying to hatch rocks.
