6+ Buff Orpington Eggs For Hatching: Low starting price special for BYC members!
Get a "sample" bar of soap for only $2 extra.

You are bidding on 6 Buff Orpington hatching eggs. This amount is good to put in a small incubator, under a broody hen, or just to hatch a few chicks. These eggs will be shipped the week of November 15th if payment is received asap at the end of the auction. In order to get these ready to ship, we need prompt payment. We hatch eggs from our Buffs on a regular basis in an incubator, but mainly under broody hens. We encourage broodiness in our line of birds. Buff Orpingtons are a nice-sized, brown egg laying, dual purpose bird. Roosters get large enough to process for meat and hens lays a medium to large egg. Since some hens go broody, you can raise your own meat and eggs to become more self-sustaining. The picture included is of some of our hen plus new brood rooster, Midas. He is still putting on weight, size, and feather and we are in love with his laid-back and gentle personality with the hens and with people. He is a clear Buff color - no smut or off-color feathering. His first APA show September 18th resulted in a BV win over 2 Buff cockerels from Don Chandler. We plan on showing him again in December. Our previous brood roo (picture shown in previous auctions) has been retired and found a new home not far from us.

We have temporarily housed a Black Orpington pullet with our Buffs. She is not old enough to lay, but we wanted to make you aware that she was also in the same pen.

More pictures can be seen on our website: greenfamilyfarms.webs.com.

PAYMENT: Paypal only, please. If you would like your phone number placed on the box for post office pickup, please include it when you send payment. Our Paypal address is [email protected].

TERMS: This auction is a final sale. Please see our Return Policy for exceptions. Please understand that hatching eggs involves some risks and chance, so please refrain from bidding if you are not willing to accept the risks. We package the eggs to be best of our ability, but breakages do occur in cases of mishandling by the postal service.

SHIPPING: I will ship your eggs to US addresses only via USPS Priority Mail or Express Mail by request. Please let me know if you would like shipping insurance. Please note that Priority mail is starting to take a little longer that what it used. I've noticed that eggs arrive in 3-5 days, with some arriving in 2 days.

    IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
We are NOT a commercial farm. We are just simple country folk who love chickens! We have a limited number of eggs that we will be offering for auction. We do selectively breed for traits according to the APA Standard of Perfection. Although not all of our poultry is "perfect" we still strive for the best. We cannot guarantee that you will get show-quality birds, but they could have the genetics to do well for you.

Thank you for looking at our auction! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask before bidding!

    Size-comparison: That's a Home Depot 5-gal bucket.
