Hi Folks, we’re completely new to backyard flocks this spring. Just yesterday we added two 6-day old silkies for our son. One of them (not sure maybe both?) is ‘peeing’ a clear liquid with a thin tan string of ???. Is this normal? If not, can you please advise our next steps? Thank you very kindly!

Sorry, I wish I had a pic. We have only noticed it when handling them and anything in their brooder gets absorbed by the shavings. We’ll keep them out extra long tonight to catch them in action. ;) Thank you for the suggestion!

Did you get any pics?
I wish! We can catch in action and that’s normal. We just identified which one that was today, so hopefully we’ll see some evidence from the other one soon.

I was also thinking that sometime on Sunday I cleaned a patsy butt. Could that have caused a clear watery poop?

Ta-da! I finally got a picture! Haven’t actually seen any since my original post. Thanks for taking a look.
