    Good morning chicken folk! :)

I have a question. I have a 6 month old Welsummer who is not laying, but she has been doing the squatting thing for over a month, has a bright red comb- the whole works. Has any of you had this happen? I have read a lot on Welsummers sometimes being slow to mature. Is this normal?

I have been checking her chicken run for eggs to see if she is laying somewhere else, but she isn't. She is eating and acting normal.

    Thank you!

Mine would start between 6-7 months. I would expect an egg soon, since it seems to often happens after someone posts about here.

This just cracks me up...it happens often.
Get impatient, start a thread to inquire, and an egg appears!!

I have noticed that... maybe that's the way to get the chickens motivated..."Talk about me will you? I'll show you!" Hahaha
