6 out of 9 runners isn't bad

Hi all. I just wanted to let everyone know that I had 6 of the 9 Runners hatch out. They are all doing good. The other 3 ducklings were full formed, just had some yolk sack that wasn't absorbed.

I know, pics., pics., pics. I still do not have my camera set up yet. I will post pics. as soon as I can.

I just read where you posted to another member about he yolk not absorbing and that being to the temp. being too low or opening the bator too often. I had the same problem with my last 3 eggs, but I know that the temp. wasn't too low. My ducklings started hatching 2 days early. I do turn by hand, 3 times a day, so maybe the bator was opened too much. Thanks for the answer to the other post. It helped me answer that question some what.

Thanks Brad. I hope that your silver appleyards hatch out for you. When are they due to hatch?
This was my first duck hatch, so I was nervous. I wasn't this nervous whenever I hatched chicks & quail....lol
