As soon as the rain stops, I will try to get a picture of the hens. These are from Steve Wheat's work . I am not sure what he crossed to get them.
The boys are more barred than the girls. The subsequent generation girls should be more barred than their mothers. You may hatch out some solid buff males from these.They should be culled. Solid females are mated back to the barred males, and the barring continues to improve.

I found an old picture of the roos beside 1 of the hens.You can see that she is much lighter than the boys. Now in this generation [ these auction eggs], the barring should improvefor the females. Steve did say that the barring of the girls will never be as dark as the boys. Hope this helps : )
