6 toes on my Silkie

    I noticed today that one of my Silkies has 6 toes on one foot and 5 on the other! Could be a lucky chicken!

    It might be a birth defect but other than that. Your Silkie is a lucky chicken.

    If you just have your silkies as pets, then I wouldn't worry about it and enjoy them. If you are going to show, don't show that one, and don't use it for a breeder. It is definiately a defect.[​IMG] Silkies are supposed to only have 5 toes on each foot.
