6 week Black Australorps- Big Foot and Little Foot

Starting late at the jump in, I've had Australorps - definitely pullet but BIG GIRL! They are beautiful, thanks for sharing

Hi ChickNanny13! Yes, they are both huge. I finally got "the shot" that shows how much bigger they are than everyone else. Here they are at 12 weeks next to an EE of exactly the same age.

"BigFoot" is now 3.5 lbs at 12 weeks!!

I'm happy to report that both are confirmed egg-laying females as of today. They both laid their first eggs in late week 20/early week 21, both about 1.4oz pullet eggs, 2" long, 4 3/4" circumference. Big Foot so far has been quietly laying eggs while Little Foot shook the house with her egg song the second she popped it out. (mid-song below). Both lay eggs that are mostly brown with little specks of white showing through. Hooray for eggs!
