Chirping
I don't know if this is an issue or not.... My favorite young chicken was dirt bathing in mud close to bedtime. Now he is cuddled in with his friends and sleeping, but that mud is basically caked under his wings.
Earlier, he was trying (and failing) to groom it out. And he is clearly agitated when I try to touch him.
It's warm out. Will only get to 68 degrees tonight.
I'm not sure if I just let him sleep and take a dry dirt bath in the morning, or if I should wake him up and do something about it tonight.
If anyone someone sees this and can put my mind at ease that he is not going to get sick from this...?
