6 week old chicks?

    0EBE3831-4915-4F28-BEEE-D5E25CC3B30C.jpeg What kind of chicks are these? 6 weeks old, my daughter brought them home from biology class. Hatched from local farm eggs, could be a mix?

    Partridge one is a pullet and mixed breed, likely has a Silkie parent.

    The blue is a cockerel and I’d say also a mix, likely has a Cochin parent.

    I agree both are likely mixed, and the dark one appears to be a little cockerel. They're super cute :)

    Are these your only chickens? I have to warn you, these cute little fluffy things are addictive.... chicken math is real :D

    Crossbreds. 99% of "classroom" chicks are crossbreds.

    Going to have to wait until they are fully grown and mature then. Chickens can change drastically from chicks to adult and I don't just mean in size. Post updated pics at around 6 months of age.
