6 week old EE/Ameraucana - gender please :)

    Could you possibly get a close picture of the back of the bird? Boys start developing long, skinny saddle and hackle feathers that are a dead giveaway. At least I've found the pea comb to be rather unreliable in sexing a young bird. Some people say that if there are three rows of 'peas' in the comb, than it is an automatic boy. However, I've had girls with three very clear rows of peas in the comb.

    My guess would also be pullet from the body shape.

    OK, sorry for the background, but hopefully you all can see the 'backend' of this little sweetie. Any more guesses/predictions? I am hoping for a pullet. (Duh.) Otherwise we'll be eating this little cutie. [​IMG]

    Looks like a pullet to me. I see no signs of it being a cockerel at this point.
