Hi! I know it’s really hard to tell at silkie gender & mine are only about 6 weeks old (first 2 photos) but their combs are totally different so I thought I’d give it a try. Thank you for the considerations! I’ll also do my best to follow up in a few months with the reveal. I also have an 8 week old (3rd photo) that has a similar comb to my black silkie.

Both look like cockerels, though I am unsure about the second one being a cockerel. It is a little to early to say for sure (especially on the second one). Update at 9 weeks.
I also have an 8 week old with the same comb as my black but I didn’t post them as not to be confusing. I thought different combs would mean different genders but I see not haha

Some people say Silkies with a U shaped comb are cockerels and those with a V shaped comb are pullets. I don’t find that method very trustworthy. Incase you were asking the Silkie does look like a pullet, still to young to be sure though.

I have an update, my silkies are now
11.5 weeks old - #1
& 9.5 weeks old #2 + #3

As this group had noted back when they were 8 weeks & 6 weeks old, I’d have to agree that I think I have 2 roos (#2 + #3) & what looks like 1 pullet (#1).

It’s still early in that no one is crowing or laying eggs, but #2 + #3 love sparring & #1 although older & bigger is always very passive & seems to always be protected by #3 which makes me hope #1 is a pullet.

Any confirmation on the pullet & roo situation is much invited & I’ll try to update when I know for sure for sure!

2 and 3 are most likely cockerels and I think that 1 is a pullet. I am not very good at sexing silkies though. Do you think that you could get a picture of each of their combs with the crest pushed back? :)
