    Hello!
My daughter is showing poultry for 4H. We purchased a few bantams from TSC. They are now alittle over 6 weeks old. We need to register for 4H but we just are not sure if this little cutie is a pullet or cockrel! Any ideas?? We don’t see any waddle or red comb (but maybe he wouldn’t get one?) but he is pretty big compared to the others... but they are all a mixture of bantams, so it’s hard to compare. He/she is our first silkie!! F9FC9535-2B4E-41A1-A295-DBC7D7CEEDE1.jpeg

Still too early, but based on my experience, all my silkie cockerels have more comb and wattle development than that, I say pullet. Also, the silkies at TSC are very poor quality and are not good for showing unless it is just for fun

Thank you! Yes, it is just for fun! Another one of her silkies has an extra toe... but she’s going to show it anyways. ☺️
