    Hello everyone,
Yesturday I got 3 6 week old silkie chicks from someone who hatched them from an incubator in their apartment
in the city,,I took them home and set them up in the coop, which is draft free..I also have 1 silkie rooster and 1 silkie hen, each 1 year old..they seem to be taking well to the newcomers. I have the babies in a large cage and have a heat lamp over them,as well and tons of straw for added warmth. The previous owners had them inside ,,I'm worried that they won't be warm enough..during the transfer,I kept them in the car to slowly get cooler,,then into the coop. They are eating, and seem ok,,but we are having a cold spell at the moment, which ends tomorrw. Does this set up seem ok otherwise for the next little while? thanks!
    The worried mom.

They should be just fine and plenty warm! Maybe give them a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel, til the snap is over! Good luck!
