6 Week SLW Chicken… Hen or Roo?

Hi all, we have a SLW and we are unsure whether or not it is a hen or a rooster. It’s about 6 weeks old, and we don’t see any major comb growth. Hen or a rooster? Thanks!

My 2 cents is, you've got yourself a handsome cockerel. My GLW cockerels started crowing at around 8 week's. BUT. Don't give up yet, could still be a pullet. A few of mine matured faster then some. Good luck!

I am leaning more towards a cockerel. The comb and wattles are pretty red for only 6 weeks.

Well, from what we’ve read, SLW tend to have combs that are more red. They have generally darker comb colors.

6 weeks old? Cockerel. Feather patterning says it too. Handsome boy.

Fast-maturing Wyandotte pullets can occur.
