i am fairly new to RAISING chickens and got 7 pullets I picked up from Meyer hatchery march 23 so at this point i have not completed a place to hold them until my current girls are "processed". i keep them in a large dog kennel at night (in barn with my k9 leashed by them)and at sun-up turn them loose and they stay in the dirt stall of barn and go through hole is siding to play in grass. purchased them all as pullets and didn't think meyer made many mistakes but yesterday one of my 2 NH reds made funny noises and we inspected closely and sure enuf has larger comb and(spelling?) waddles so will process HIM sooner. Even so young they put themselves to bed at sun-down(put my k9 out right before sun-down and she basically goes to sleep but....)will have photos under rambling rambles(sorry I am rambling now) because I know how to do that now and want to show off gorgeous babys.
