6 year old Orpington looks prolapsed?

    My oldest hen is starting to look prolapsed and is more attention seeking the past couple days as well as not eating as well as usual. Anything I can do? Or is it getting close to being "that time" for my sweet girl?

    Is her vent prolapsed - tissue hanging out?
    Can you post photos?
    Is she pooping?
    When was the last time she laid an egg?
    How old is she?

    For prolapse, separate her, soak her in warm tub of epsom salts, clean the tissue then apply some hemorrhoid cream or honey to help reduce swelling. Then see if the prolapsed tissue will go back in. You may need to repeat the steps. If the tissue doesn't go back in keep it moist with cream or honey.

    Offer her some poultry vitamin and extra calcium. Keep her hydrated.
