Can some explain to me why in the world these would "ever" sell for 600.00. Do they lay gold eggs? Silkies are pretty much easy to come by, aren't they? I mean I would pay a fair price but 600.00? Maybe 60.00. Even coronation sussex on ebay have been selling for less.

I can see nothing on that bid that would lead me to believe those are worth $600.00 - it's not an egg she is selling its 7 birds.

I saw a pair of coronation sussexes go for approximately $400 (I think it was either $400 or $600) which did not include shipping...

    Birds can be rather expensive!

Probably the lineage. If it's from Hattrick, people will pay that no problem, ESPECIALLY since it's for 7 birds, whereas one Hattrick bird can go for as much as $200.

Those birds are not any-ole bird from a hatchery. A person who knows something about silkies and is genuinely interested in the breed and how they can use those specific birds to help their breeding program will happily pay the amount.

I am baffled on the shipping - $50 per box, 2 birds per box. That is $200 in shipping alone!!!!!
