6month old chicken started laying and was laying soft shelled eggs or dropped eggs at night on poop board. Then she started limping 2 days ago, now she can't walk or stand at all. Her feet and comb feel hot. She now just lies in one spot all day and poops all over her self. I would put her out of her misery but she still wants to eat. She eats her food and drinks while lying down. I bring it to her. I hate to give up if there is even a slight chance. She is a favorite of mine RI red. Any ideas what I should do. She did have watery diarrhea, but that got better, although it is softer than usual.

Did your chicken have a Marek's vaccine? I would watch her for a few days, but I would also put her on vitamins as soon as possible. Certain vitamin deficiencies can cause problems with legs as well as Marek's
