6month old rooster survived a bobcat attack but won’t eat or drink

Hello,
Update on my rooster. People have probably stopped paying attention but this is for other chicken owners if they are in a similar situation. It’s been almost 2 weeks. He cannot bend his neck down to peck food . He’s tried to extend it but he stopped probably out of pain. He refuses to eat when we try to syringe feed him. He fights us. We finally gave up and went to a vet. She has confirmed the neck injury and is not hopeful with his healing. With heavy hearts. We have decided to cull him. Thank you everyone for your helpful advices. It has been a journey.

What exactly was the injury to his neck? Was it a fracture or break?

What exactly was the injury to his neck? Was it a fracture or break?

The vet said it was probably a damage to his vertebrae and high chance it wouldn’t heal back to normal.
