I ordered 7 pullets of different breeds through MPC and the order was fulfilled by Meyer Hatchery. My chicks are now 6-1/2 weeks old & I'm pretty sure one is a cockerel. That's okay since my older group of chickens consists of 5 hens but, especially with no experience in keeping roosters, I'd really rather not have two. Each pic has a breed identifier at the bottom left (though many of you will know the breeds on sight). I have more pics I can put up, if helpful, for the ones that need more discussion.

Yep, the Delaware is in need of a name change (currently Portia). The barred rock has a lot of comb for her age but I'm not super worried since she has a very black wash down the fronts of her legs and more dark barring than light. Maybe she'll be my first layer this fall. I'm more concerned for the lavender orp. I've heard they can leave you guessing until they either crow or lay eggs. She has more pinkish comb and wattles than I would wish for at this age. She's also larger than anyone else with the exception of the Delaware (who is HUGE -- and shy). Here's more pics of those three.
