7-month-old Rooster Finally Crowing

    I'd given up on my BO roo ever showing signs of adult behavior... they hatched out in April and I'd read about cockerels that start crowing at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, etc-- and he has been totally quiet. Then this morning, he's crowing! I guess he's just a late bloomer... Hope the neighbors don't complain or anything, because I've gotten rather attached to him now.

    Count yourself lucky he waited so long. I have 15 roosters ranging in ages from 9 weeks to 13 weeks. All are crowing right now. Good thing there is a train that runs through my neighborhood. No one can complain about roosters when there is a freight train running through twice daily.
