Can my 7 week old chicks stay outside in the coop at night? There are 11 of them in an 8x10 coop. No other chickens out there. It's supposed to be 45 degrees.

My 4 week olds have been out for a week now, and it's still dipping into the high 30s at night. Your babies will be fine. They are plenty feathered in enough to handle just about anything.

Ok good. There's no heat source out there and this will be the first night out for them. Just a worried new chicken momma. [IMG]
