I just got a Chocolate Cuckoo Orpington rooster! He is so huge and gorgeous and he is not even fully grown!

So now I will HAVE to hatch some eggs for the easter hatch-along!

Will get pics of him tomorrow.

Since it is early, the dates will need to be posted soon--especially for Emus!

Love my premier 1 brooder plate.  Teaches the chicks to sleep at night..   I think the grow better.  I know for sure they are quieter.

Do you have a pair or trio? That's awesome. My lavender rooster is starting to get it. I've seen fertile eggs coming through. Now if the hens would lay better.

I just got one rooster, want to get him some hens soon. I was thinking it would be cool if I got him some cream legbar hens and eventually got a chocolate cream legbar.

I finally got back to my buddy that gives me spent grain for my chickens. It's been so busy lately I've not been able to pick any up. I feed about 25% grain along with pellets. Chickens love it. Usually get 12 5 gallon buckets that will last a long time when its cooler like this.

Ouch poor hens. If he's anything like my Lavender roo they would be crushed.
Would be a good color.
