So my chicks are about 8 weeks old now and some of the ones that I was told were pullets I think are turning out to be Roos. Is the development of the comb and waddle a distinction in which gender?

Yes, the faster development of comb/wattles would be one indication, but are they all the same breed? Different breeds develop differently. If you post some photos, that will help.

My partridge Cochin was not in the mood to have a picture taken but I think I got one.

I'm not sure which of the breeds this is but I'm thinking it's a male.
