My order of baby chicks coming on Wednesday will be padded with ~8 RIR baby boys. I raise my chickens for eggs, not meat, and therefore have no desire for the boys.
While I realize male chickens are mostly unwanted (even free), I thought I'd give it a shot. If anyone is interested in them, I'd be more than willing to drive them to almost anywhere around Austin this coming weekend (23rd/24th). From what I understand, they make decent meat birds.
I'll update the post on Wednesday if it does not end up being exactly 8 that arrive with the girls.
