I have an 8 week chick that just lays there. Seems one leg works well but the other doesn't. She was walking up until about a week ago. Any suggestions?

We tried something new today. 2 cups apple cider vinegar heating in microwave for 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup molasses and stir until mixed. We made this last night. This morning my daughter put 1/4 cup into 1 gln water. I went to put all the chicks in tonight and she was standing. Not all that well, but standing nonetheless.

Msswede1 can you describe how the leg is moving? Is she dragging it, limping, or is it twisted outward like a slipped tendon? Two-coops, I've never heard of Layena medicated chick feed. Purina Layena is layer feed for adult hens over 16 weeks, and medicated feed is for chicks, usually a starter/grower. Layer feed should never be fed to chicks under 16 weeks because it has too much calcium for chicks, and can cause gout later on.I also have two 8 week old chicks that are doing the same thing act as if something is wrong with there legs and have droopy wings. they are I.S. A.'s have never seen this before, Iam still feeding them medicated feed Layena.
