8 week old Gender and Breed ?

My rooster is an EE and I’m thinking the mom of this one is my EE too but both of them have muffs and I’m not seeing it on this chick. If both parents have them would the chick necessarily have it? Or I could be wrong on the mother....anyways this much red for 8 weeks old leaning towards cockerel???
