8 week old RIR and RIR x Blue Red-Laced Wyanadotte

    The first one is a cockerel. The mixes I'm pretty sure are pullets, but not positive. And the other RIR is a pullet. :)

    At 8 weeks old, they all look like cockerels to me.

    Are the mixes combs "cockerel size"? Still trying to learn how to guess gender with some types of combs....:)

    They all look like cockerels to me, too.

    That's what I am hoping for. The my RIR in the third pic has a much less developed comb that the one in the first pic. So why does everyone think that is a cockerel? As for the mixes, I've been searching online but can't seem to find any similar examples.

    They have rose combs. And they are raised and fairly well developed, very fleshy. At that age, a pullet's rose comb should be flat and pale.
