Hello everyone! I have six silkies and one Rhode Island Red who are basically feathered out. Their coop just got finished today and I was wondering if you guys think they're good to go outside for the night permanently. The temps will be 46* tonight and will be in the mid to high seventies for the rest of the week. The nighttime temps should be around upper 40's to low 50's. Please tell me what you all think!

put them out, especially if they are acclimated to your daytime temperatures, just make sure there's no drafts, they will huddle on the floor in a pile.

You were 100% right about them sleeping in a ball. However, Ronald, my Rhode Island Red rooster is sleeping on top of someone. Is that ok? Will hey work it out? Or should I move them?

they should be able to get out from underneath him if they want to. You don't have enough to worry about them suffocating. The first night is always that hardest on both chicks and keepers.
