We are moving out of State and must sell our beautiful chicken coop $1,250.
We live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia near Staunton (west of Charlotesville).
We just built it in April 2011 using all new materials from Lowes (except front door from Habitat re-store).
Size is 8x12 (can easily house 25 birds comfortably) and is completely predator proof.
Floor is painted (see photo below) and covered with plastic to keep it clean; deep layer of pine shavings used on top.
Coop has five removable basement windows with bug screens and predator-proof hardwire.
Front door has lockable door knob (with 2 keys). Coop is set on cement blocks.
Easy access external nestboxes provides maximum space inside the coop.
Coop is very well ventilated with cross ventilation on all four sides.
