9 day old chicks + 2 just hatched = OK?

DH has got to stop putting eggs in the 'bator! I have 5 nine day old chicks and the 2 eggs that I thought weren't going to hatch just hatched (long story!). I separate them in the brooder until they are up and around, but is it OK to introduce the little ones with the 9 day olds tomorrow or the next day? They won't have a momma to keep them from being bullied. How does it work when they are all this young (less than 2 wks.)? I don't want to keep the 2 separate if I don't have to...

They should be fine. I just put 11 MF d'Uccles in with Silkies and Polish that are 2 weeks old. They are all doing fine and the Silkies are being little mommies! So cute!
