My hens are 9 months old and consistently lay medium, large, and xtra large eggs. But, in the past week I've gotten a small egg and fairy egg. How does work? Could a hen stop laying and start over? Is it possible I have a hen that took 9 months to start laying?

It is isn't irregular. Sometimes chickens just lay itty bitty eggs :) Sometimes they lay eggs without shells. She isn't starting over, she'll get back to laying her regular eggs pretty soon ;)

That's kinda what I was hoping- if I get enough eggs statistically I'd see something weird. But, it kinda freaked me out. I haven't seen a fairy egg in like 3 months.
