These are all around 9 weeks old except the Brahmas which I think are closer to 7 or 8 weeks. I have 2 of each kind so I am labeling them as breed name 1 and breed name 2. I can get better pictures of specific birds if requested. Any guesses would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am so sorry...I'm seeing nearly all roos, except for one of the buff orps......I am not real sure about the bramas....

I am not an expert here, but I the only girls I see are #2 buff, and #2 brahma.

Sorry

I'd have to agree with the others. Looks like you have mostly boys. I have chicks this age, and the cockerels all have bright red combs, while the pullets have pale combs.
Its easy to tell with the first four pics because you have a pair of brahmas and a pair of orps. You can tell just by looking at them and comparing which ones are the boys/girls. The rest look like cockerels...except for some of the ones in with the Mille Fleur. But since you didn't ask about those, I'm assuming you already knew that

I'm not so sure...certainly the Speckled Sussex birds aren't definitely cockerels. One looks very much like a hen, and perhaps both are hens--although SS#2 certainly looks and presents more rooish than SS#1 so you could have a boy there. Chickens with large combs (in both genders) are difficult to sex, and SS are notoriously tough to ascertain gender. I'm even unsure about the Buff Orps, for that reason. One BO is a hen, for sure...but the second one may be as well.

If you look on MPC in the breeds section, under Speckled Sussex, you'll find a headshot photo of a hen who looks a lot like your two birds. I realize that your birds are only 9 weeks old, and the hen in the photo is surely older, but you can at least compare comb shape and such. The SS are soooo tough to sex, truly.
