You have just touched the surface! I had researched the Beltsville Small White turkey for months and months tracing the history, going back thru old USDA records and the best part was actually talking to people involved in the program from the Ames research station in IA.

Turkeys are amazing birds to say the least. We started out with a pair of Midget Whites and now have Royal Palms, Beltsville Whites, White Holland, Bourbon Red, and Standard Bronze.
