A breeding question

I have 10 silkies, not sure whats what yet, I dont want any unsupervised breeding, they are 5 weeks. My question is how old are they when they start to breed? want to make sure they are not having too much fun need to do my homework first on egg raising

Why don't you want them to breed? If you really and truly don't want them to, you'll have to seperate the males and females. Just because the are breeding doesn't mean that the mom will hatch the babies, and the eggs are no different for consumption, so there really is no reason to not let them.

yes I plan on them breeding just not yet, I will seperate them I just want to know at what age do they start breeding

The boys start trying to breed a bit before the girls are ready to lay eggs. And that depends on the breed, but look for it between 14-20 weeks.
