How do you know these are what your going to get?

Using Porters turkey calculator. I have crossed Fall Fire and Sweetgrass before. 1st time crossing Black Winged Bronze and Sweetgrass. Going off Porters turkey calculator it says will produce Cornish Palms , Hoping that will be my results.

As far as those hatching I mark my eggs from picked breeding pairs. The Penciled Palms are the only ones that do not breed true. They breed a few other varieties of penciled palms. but so far the 4 that have hatched are true to breeding pairs.

As I recall you get a bunch of possible results, and not definite ones.

Poult number 7 just crawled out of its shell. Another is halfway zipped and at least 4 others have external pips.

My Tri Colored Penciled Palms produce ( Tri Colored Penciled Palms, Penciled Red Palms, Penciled Palms ) My Penciled Blue Palms produce ( Penciled Blue Palms, Penciled Lavender Palms, Penciled Palms, ) Penciled Red Palms breed true. Red Palms breed true. Sweetgrass produce true. Fall Fire produce ( Fall Fire, Sweetgrass, Red Sweetgrass ). Fall Fire and Sweetgrass together produce ( Fall Fire, Sweetgrass ) Black Winged Bronze and Sweetgrass is supposed to produce ( Cornish Palms ) I have not breed Black Winged Bronze and Sweetgrass together yet so will find out soon if that is true. Have breed all others and those results are true Just as Porter and his calculator say . So do not have any reason to think I wont get Cornish Palms from that cross.

Sounds like someone else is in full hatch mode also. Besides what has and still hatching out of incubator yesterday and today. I just found about 2 hours ago 5 hatched from one of my broody hens.

Very glad to see it is a Sweetgrass, as it should be.

3 more to go in this batch. 8 set for three weeks from now, and 13 at last count in the national of the two not-yet-broody hens.

I miss Memphis asking for bug eye baby photos.
