How is the net in the snow?

Yes snow can damage netting if you can notice in some of the pics . I have my 2x4 middle support poles just slide into plastic pipe so they can be removed and put on a angle or removed to take pressure off netting and let it sag. A few times it does sag with weight of snow but it just hits the ground in some spots without damaging anything, until I go out and shake snow off. I use 2 inch knotted netting and yes if you try to keep it supported 15 feet up it can get very heavy with snow buildup and I have seen others pens that the weight has broken 4x4s it can get so heavy. You just have to lower or remove middle support poles and it will just sag to the ground in a few places with no damage.

Yes we just had a very wet snow like that here this April I wasn't going to drop my poles not thinking it was going to be that bad. But decided to do it anyways just in case ,Glad i did because I could have looked like that.

My pens with netting have been up four 5 years now and have had to do some repairs but nothing major.

Yep, once in a while that happens.

I use the 2 inch stuff also. I tried 1 inch but that did not hold up.

Never tried 1 inch but I would have to Bet that that would collect snow much easier than the 2 inch?

One inch won’t make a winter, 2 inch can depending on the snow, and of course, how well you patch it.

I know a few people that have Pheasant fly pens and learned the pole removal trick from them. Before I ever built my pens so I built what I learned from them into mine. So I didn't have to learn the hard way. Am thank full for that or I'm sure I would have had much more and severe damage also.
